A day after dismissed police inspector Arun Borude was found dead on railway tracks in Srirampur in Ahmednagar district, his family today said it suspected that he was murdered and demanded videography of his autopsy and two DNA samples instead of one.

While police is trying to find out whether it was a case of suicide or accidental death, Borude's family suspect that he could have been murdered.

Prakash Borude, brother of former police inspector, said, "He was a strong person and it is highly unlikely that he would commit suicide".

Reacting to family's demand for video shooting and DNA samples, a police officer said, "We will do the video shoot as demanded by Prakash Borude but nothing can be said about issuing two DNA samples."

Arun Borude was dismissed after his name cropped up in the rape case of a 15-year-old girl in Mumbai. He absconded following filing of FIR against him and others on November 1.

The body is still lying at Loni hospital awaiting autopsy, police said adding it will be brought home this afternoon for funeral.

Mumbai police had yesterday filed a chargesheet against Borude and three others in a local court.

Borude's body was found near the railway tracks in Shrirampur. He was hit by a train and had sustained severe injuries on his head, shoulder and chest.

Police alleged that Borude and others had allegedly raped the girl on several times between February and March this year in a flat at 'Emerald Court' in Powai.

The incident came to light when the victim gave birth to a baby girl in October in a hospital. The Bombay high court had on December 20 rejected Borude's anticipatory bail plea.
