Five people were killed and four others were injured when a truck fell into a roadside gorge on Wednesday night near Bhadalwadi, on Pune-Solapur National Highway.

Five people were killed and four others were injured when a truck fell into a roadside gorge on Wednesday night near Bhadalwadi, on Pune-Solapur National Highway.
The deceased have been identified as Digambar Kamble, 60, his wife Jagubai, 55,and Mahadevi Kamble, 30, all residents of Hangaregalale in Osmanabad district; and Lalita Charatakale, 32, and Uttam Shankar Vislikar, 28,of Bidar district in Karnataka.
The injured have been identified as Usha Vasant Chavan of Navi Sangvi, Pune; Karam Dasharath Charatakale, Sadhana Digambhar Kamble and Ajay Anil Kamble.
According to the police, the driver of the truck lost control after hitting another truck carrying coal. Both the trucks were on their way from Solapur to Pune.
The victims were rushed to Bigwan hospital, but five were declared dead on arrival, while the other four are critical and undergoing treatment.
The accident happened near a bridge under construction on the highway and traffic was disrupted due to the accident for some time.
