The Samta Nagar police have arrested the son of a retired assistant commissioner of police (ACP) on the charge of sodomising a 15-year-old boy. The pervert allegedly trapped the teenager by creating a fake profile of a girl on Facebook and befriending him.
According to the police, the boy had in January received a friend's request from the profile of an unknown girl. The Kandivli resident accepted the request and soon they began chatting regularly on Facebook.
"During one of their conversations, the teen received some nude photographs from the girl's profile. The girl (the accused) claimed that it was her pictures. The girl then induced the victim to send his obscene photographs to her," said an officer from Samta Nagar police station.
The girl then asked the victim to meet her at a place in Saraf Nagar in Kandivli. "When the boy went to the said place, he came across the accused, who is known to him. The accused then told the victim that he was aware of the nude photographs that he had sent to the girl's profile and threatened the victim that he would upload those photographs on the internet and defame him," the officer said.
Using the blackmailing tactics, between January and March, the accused allegedly violated the victim and also filmed the act on his mobile phone. The officer added, "Fed up with the abuse, the victim mustered courage and narrated his ordeal to his mother. After the boy's mother approached us on July 11, we registered a case and arrested the accused. He has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Information Technology Act."
