At around 11 pm on Wednesday, a fire broke out at Trident Hotel shop in south Mumbai's Nariman Point which was brought under control.

Another fire broke out at the ESIC hospital, on Wednesday evening, just two days after a blaze claimed 10 lives. After a meter box caught fire, MIDC fire brigade rushed to the spot and the fire doused immediately. At around 11 pm on Wednesday, a fire broke out at Trident Hotel shop in south Mumbai's Nariman Point which was brought under control. Four fire engines and water tankers were rushed to the site. At around 11.30 pm, a fire erupted in a Chinese restaurant in Mazgaon. A minor fire broke out in Doordarshan building on Thursday morning. As per the preliminary reports, the reason for all the fire incident is a short circuit. "Around 5000 fire incidents are reported in a year and 80 per cent is due to short circuit," said senior fire officer. Around 309 fire incidents have been reported between 1 and 20 December across the city.
