Soon-to-be-mum, actress Shilpa Shetty may be busy managing home and work, but it’s near impossible to catch Shilpa fret about her hectic schedule. “Well, it’s not like there’s no stress, but I choose to not let it become my master,” says the actor talking about her mantra to stay calm and relaxed. “Staying happy is the mantra and it’s foolproof too,” laughs Shilpa.

The actress who swears by yoga believes that yoga helps keep you calm and focused. “Half of our problems and stress arise out of the fact that we worry too much without thinking of our bodies and then work out too much on the body without giving a second thought to our mind,” she explains. “The key lies in making them beat and think in harmony and I just do whatever makes me happy, which automatically tunes all my senses in a state of well-being too. But yes, yoga does help me a great deal. I think it’s the best work-out that also exercises the mind as much as it does the outside,” adds Shilpa.

“Breathing deeply, listening to music, dancing, watching a film… are all superb stress-busters,” says Shilpa. Also just catching up with mum, spending time with family work just as well, according to the star. But when it comes to self-indulgence, nothing beats a good spa treatment, says the actor. “They actually help you relax and rejuvenate you completely. A little bit of self-pampering is something we all owe to ourselves,” she smiles. “You cannot set rules to being happy. Just listen to your heart and use your head to pursue them,” says Shilpa.
