Since 75 years, this organisation has been inspiring people towards living a life of higher purpose and achieving spiritual liberation. With devotees and members worldwide today, Brahma Kumaris (BK) are celebrating their 75th anniversary from February 4-9 with the theme of 'One God One World Family'.

The celebrations will be held at Venus Ground, Nehrunagar-Satellite road. They will include professionals' meet, cultural programme, seminar for women, social workers and rural wings and youth seminar.

The inaugural ceremony on February 4 will be attended by  prominent dignitaries and the chief guest will be chief minister Narendra Modi. Also, mayor Asit Vora and director of BK of Gujarat, Rajyogini Sarladidi, will be present. The audience will be treated to a session of experience sharing by Bollywood actor Suresh Oberoi.

On February 5, the devotees will listen to star speaker of Brahma Kumaris on Zee TV, BK Shivani and words of wisdom by secretary general of BK, Brahma Kumar Nirwairji. On February 6, a seminar for women and social workers has been organised on the subject 'Women - The saviour of culture' which will be chaired by BK Chakradhariben, national co-ordinator of women's wing.

Speaking to DNA, public relations officer for Brahma Kumaris, BK Nandini said, "Apart from the seminars and talk shows, we have organised religious leaders' congregation where eminent saints of different ashrams and organisations will be addressing the audience and sharing their ideas."

She added that the celebration will include a video show 'Journey Towards Self and Supreme', milestones of the 75-year journey of the organisation. There will also be a value game stall and literature hall.

Run mostly by women, Brahma Kumaris is an international institution offering courses and learning resources for meditation and peace. Through such courses, Brahma Kumaris aim at spreading  harmony.

The socio-cultural organisation believes in working from the grassroots level through its well-administered network of 8,500 branches in 137 countries.
