This one was tied between those who want a less busy day and those who do not. While the sentiments of the former group are easy to understand, let’s look at those children in the city who are absolutely fine with their busy lifestyle.

“I prefer a busy day full of activities. It would drive me crazy to sit idle and do nothing,” says 13-year-old Anuj who is a class VII student of Lilavatibai Podar Senior Secondary School. Right from seven in the morning till six in the evening, Anuj keeps busy with academics, sports, extra curricular activities at school, and special cricket coaching.

“Of what use is a day where you just sit at home and do nothing. If it’s not school or other activities, I’d rather spend a day at a camp or playing some sport with my friends,” says 12-year-old Saish Mondkar of Bombay Scottish School. He says that he knows how to respect time and wants to make the most of it by learning and experiencing things that are required by him to stay ahead of his
classmates.

When asked to suggest a way of making their day a little less busy, these children wanted to change nothing. “I would not want any of my daily activities to be removed. After school, I have the time to play football with friends, complete my homework and assignments, and also to watch my favourite programme on NatGeo,” says Devansh Daswani, a student of Beacon High.
Those who wanted to unclutter their day would like use their freed-up time on outdoor activities or with family and friends.
