A Shilpa-Chitrangdha showdown!

Tarun Tahiliani, the master designer, managed a role reversal of sorts with his show-stoppers, B-Town actors Chitrangdha Singh and Shilpa Shetty. While most of the audience was expecting Tarun to dress Shilpa in a sari and Chitrangdha in a western outfit, he did the exact opposite. And who garnered more attention? We must say that the originally Delhi based Chitrangdha had her supporters cheering for her while apni Shilpa has a charm of her own. So it was a win-win situation for both of them. Touche.

Mallika’s ‘wares’ grab attention!

Guess which outfit was the cynosure of all attention on day five. It was a yellow organic cotton halter number by Anita Dongre —the same dress worn by hottie Mallika Sherawat when she attended the designers show at a fashion week in Mumbai. Of course, the original number made sure that the actor’s assets were amply on display, while this was modified for more regular use. Nevertheless, it was the outfit that Mallika once wore. Can you blame the dress for being a show stealer of sorts?

Bringing on the heat with sparkle!

Day five also had sufficient splash of colour for the die-hard summer fans. Designer Reynu Tandon showed a range of shorts with summery tops, while Preeti Chandra also included a line of party wear, complete with shimmery pants and fluorescent green jumpsuits. Time to colour code your summer folks.
