A youth was taken into custody tonight for sending an SMS message to police head quarters here that a bomb had been planted in Kerala home minister Kodieyri Balakrishinan's official residence here.
According to police, the message was received around 5.30 pm and police carried out a thorough search at the minister's residence, but nothing was found.
Later, it was traced that the call came from the mobile phone of one Joby Saju of Mazhuvannur in Ernakulam district.
Then, he was taken into custody for questioning.
The hoax message came on a day when a crude bomb was spotted in a private airline at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.
