Warmer morning greets Delhi

The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.6 degree Celsius, a degree above normal and up from yesterday's low of 8.1 degree Celsius, a MeT official said.

In keeping with the trend prevailing for the last few days, the morning was warm in Delhi today with the mercury remaining above the normal level.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.6 degree Celsius, a degree above normal and up from yesterday's low of 8.1 degree Celsius, a MeT official said.

The maximum was recorded at 22.1 degrees yesterday.

The sky was mainly clear today and the sun shone brightly. The weatherman has predicted similar conditions for tomorrow while the mercury is expected to be between 9 and 23 degrees.

According to MeT statistics, the record for the highest maximum for the month of February was 34.1 degree Celsius recorded on the 26th of 2006. The record minimum is 1.6 degree Celsius recorded on 9th of the month in 1982.

In the last decade, the minimum dropped below five degree Celsius twice. In 2002, the minimum dropped to 2.9 degrees on February two while it dropped to 3.7 degree C on February 4, 2001.
