Undertrial escapes in Mathura, probe ordered

An undertrial, allegedly involved in a theft case, escaped from a police station and an inquiry was ordered today by the by the district authorities into the incident.
        
Iqbal, involved in a stamp theft case, escaped from the Mat police station yesterday.
        
"A probe has been ordered," senior police officer Aditya Prakash Verma said.
        
Iqbal, a resident of Pathan Para Raya town of the district, is a co-accused in a stamp theft case. The stamps worth Rs seven lakh and some cash were stolen from the office of a stamp vendor last month.
