Uncles shoot toddlers with bows and arrows; kill them

Two toddlers were shot dead with bows and arrows by their uncles in a land dispute in Orissa's tribal dominated Mayurbhanj district today, police sources said.

Three brothers identified as Kanderam Singh Samar, 50, Lapra Singh Samar, 47, and Jonia Singh Samar, 45, attacked the house of their elder brother Haria Singh Samar, 52, and killed the two children aged four at Kanakamuda village under Sarat police station, the sources said.

The mother and sister of the children were injured in the attack, the sources said. They were hospitalised. The three brothers were arrested. The injured were rushed to hospital.
