Two fined Rs25,000 each for killing deer

Two persons were fined Rs25,000 each for stoning to death a male deer that had strayed into their farm at Guruvareddiyur in Sennampatty forest area last evening.

Two persons were fined Rs25,000 each for stoning to death a male deer that had strayed into their farm at Guruvareddiyur in Sennampatty forest area last evening.

Forest officials said the deer entered the farm land after being chased by dogs. Padakallan (29) of Bejelatty and Bandhaiyan (40) of Burgur Madam pelted stones at it, killing the animal.

When they were taking the dead deer to their house, forest officials nabbed them.
