Two cops in an inebriated condition have been booked by Maninagar police for threatening a commuter. According to a complaint filed by Nikunj Shah, an employee of Amul outlet in the city, he was on his way to Maninagar when his Wagon R car was hit by a jeep being driven by the cops. The jeep was being driven by Praveen Solanki. Soon a fight ensued and another constable, Sursinh Solanki, who too was in the jeep, began abusing Shah. He also tried to beat him up.

The two told Shah that they were army men and warned him of dire consequences. Both the cops were drunk when the incident happened. A traffic jam ensued and someone informed the police control room. Maninagar police inspector DM Chauhan rushed to the spot to control the situation.

The drunk cops began arguing with Chauhan too. The two were later arrested by the Maninagar police.
