The CID (crime) is leaving no stone unturned in their quest to nab absconding police inspector Ashish Pandya in connection with the Tulsi Prajapati murder case.

The police have also provided details of Pandya's passport to airport authorities of the country to prevent his escape and to know his movements. The details of Pandya's passport including his address, photograph, passport number among others have been provided to the immigration department through the airport authority.

CID had earlier got certain leads that pointed to the fact that Pandya may have moved out of India. A team of CID also went to Mumbai to get information about Pandya's whereabouts. CID sources said the leads pointed out to Pandya escaping to another country allegedly after CBI took over the investigation in the Sohrabuddin case and began demanding the case papers of Tulsi Prajapati encounter. CID sources have told that some of his relatives are aware about Pandya's location, but are not willing to reveal it. Investigating officer, RK Patel told DNA that several teams of CID are hot on his trail. Patel said police are keeping a close watch on his house in Bhuj.

Pandya, who was the sub inspector with the Special Operation Group of Banaskantha police, had allegedly shot Tulsi Prajapati in what is believed to be a pre-planned murder. He shot the bound Prajapati from a distance of just three feet to kill him. Pandya also allegedly planted a country-made pistol on Prajapati's body after killing him.
