Six person were injured today in an exchange of fire between two groups over filing of nomination papers for panchayat elections under Phoof police station area here, police said.
The injured were rushed to the district hospital, they said.
The incident took place over filing of nomination papers for the post of panch for Gajna village, police said adding that the two groups had a heated argument after which they shot at each other.
Members of both groups were injured in the incident, they said, adding a case has been registered in this connection and investigations were on.
