Rahul Gandhi goes trekking in Uttarkashi

Taking a break from the hustle and bustle of politics, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi went trekking at Dayara Bugyal in Uttarkashi district, 200 kms from here.
    
He returned to Delhi today after his three-day stay there during which he enjoyed the lush green meadows and went trekking, party sources said.

39-year-old Gandhi maintained a distance from the media and did not even meet any state party leader.
    
He boarded a train on Tuesday for Dehra Dun, but got off at Dandera near Roorkee. From there, the Congress general secretary drove by car to reach the Himalayan trekking site in Dayara Bugyal, located at a height of 11, 645 feet.

He was accompanied by his sister Priyanka Vadra's children, the sources said.
   
Gandhi's trip was kept a closely guarded secret with SPG officials keeping people away from him.
