With alleged swindler Abhay Gandhi of AISE Capital untraceable since Monday, the 100-odd employees of his firm have been left in the lurch.

Several of them, now jobless professionals, including tutors, traders and back office employees, have started looking for other means of livelihood.

As Gandhi fled in the last week of the month, the employees have not got their salaries.

"Our salaries are not so important when compared to our jobs," said Shalin Jariwala who was working with AISE Capital in the trading department for the last six months.

When asked why employees are not filing any complaint against Gandhi, the 23-year-old Jariwala said that at his age he didn't want to get into hassles with cops.

Some of his employees have been left in such a bad situation that they are forced to take up any job they are offered.

Take the case of Ravi, an employee, whose mother got a heart attack on Tuesday morning hearing the news of Gandhi's flight.

"I was working with AISE Capital as marketing manager since the last few months before I lost the job because of the incident. When my mother got to know of it, she got a heart attack and had to be hospitalised," said Ravi.

Since then, Ravi has been to other stock trading companies seeking a job.

"Now, I have no choice but to accept any job I am offered, even if it means less salary and other benefits," he said.

Meanwhile, another employee, 24-year-old Raja had invested more than Rs5 lakh in AISE Capital.

"I don't care that I have lost the job. But I am worried about my money. It was my father's hard-earned savings which we have lost completely," he said.
