Parents of an Indian student, who died in Australia in February this year, today sought the support of Indian government to ask Australia to initiate a probe into the alleged murder of their son.

"We want the support of Indian government in asking the Australian government to start an inquiry into finding the murderer of our son as we do not accept that our son died in an accident as claimed by the Australian Police," Mangat Rai Garg, father of Rajat told media persons here this afternoon.

Based at Rampura Phull of Bathinda, Mangat Rai Garg alleged his son was thrown in front of the train, and did not meet with an accident in Melbourne, with the motive of 'looting.'

"We did not find two gold rings, bracelet, USD 800, and an international ATM card from the body of our son, which clearly establishes that my son was murdered," he alleged.

He alleged an Australian named Carlos, who was the ex-husband of Rose in whose Ice Cream factory Rajat was working, never liked his son and he had threatened to kill him five days before his death as he did not like Indians.

Garg charged Carlos stole his son's wallet five days before the death of his son.

Parents of Rajat alleged that despite naming Carlos in connection with the death of their son, Australian police did not bother to investigate murder charges.

"They just closed our son's case by labeling it as an accidental death," they alleged.

The only son of Mangat and Rekha Garg, Rajat, 24, went to Australia about two and half years ago for pursuing a Hotel Management course in Melbourne. He was found dead on the railway track on February 14, just eight days before he was to return to India.

Parents of Rajat also alleged they were not allowed to see even the body of their son by the police who told them that the body was badly crushed.
