Nitish wishes Lalu a happy new year

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar today wished his bete noire and RJD president Lalu Prasad a happy new year.
   
"I wished my elder brother (Lalu) a happy new year over telephone," Kumar said while talking to reporters.
   
Prasad, on the other hand, said he accepted the greetings with full humility and wished a happy new year and good luck for Kumar and his family.
   
Nitish and Lalu Prasad used to utilise the opportunity to exchange greetings on all festive occasions may it be Holi (festival of colour), Diwali (festival of light), Chhath or new year celebrations.
   
"Political rivalry is a different matter. We two have maintained relations like elder (Lalu) and younger (me) brothers," Kumar said.
