A crucial meeting of the Coordination Committee of the NDA in Bihar today took stock of the latest political situation arising out of NDA's poor performance in the last assembly bypoll in 18 seats.

"We conceded that our performance remained far from satisfactory and decided to launch an intensive campaign to highlight the achievements of the NDA government led by Nitish Kumar and steps taken for ensuring inclusive growth in the past four years," NDA convener Nand Kishore Yadav said.

Of the 18 seats which went to bypolls in Bihar last month, the JD(U) together with its ally--BJP won six seats, while the RJD-LJP combine bagged nine, Congress two and BSP one.

The meeting also discussed at length the strategy to be evolved for the assembly elections due next year, he said.

Chief minister Nitish Kumar, his deputy SK Modi, several other state ministers, state BJP chief Radhamohan Singh and his JD(U) counterpart Rajiv Ranjan Singh Lalan attended the meeting.
