Reviewing law and order situation in the state soon after the Allahabad high court's verdict in the Ayodhya title dispute case, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that 'mission peace' was his sole agenda.
"People of the state have always been supportive in maintaining communal harmony and peace. 'Mission Peace' is my sole agenda," official sources quoted him as saying while chairing a high level meeting in the Mantralaya here.
Chouhan instructed those present in the meeting to maintain strict vigil at all levels and asked officers concerned to take all communities into confidence and take necessary steps for ensuring peace and harmony in the state, they said.
Others present in the meeting include home secretary Uma
Shankar Gupta, chief secretary Avni Vaish, and state director
general of police SK Rout.
