Based on the call details, Ellisbridge police found two sisters from Surat on Monday, who went missing since Saturday from their hostel without informing anyone.

Aishwarya Solanki, 17, and Hiral Solanki, 16, are daughters of one Kirit Solanki, who according to police is the son of former mayor Khemchand Solnaki.

On Saturday, Kirit, a resident of Mahashakti Society in Dani Limda, told the Ellisbridge police about their two daughters studying in Sheth CN Vidyalaya near Ambawadi and living in the school hostel. Aishwarya is studying in 12th standard while Hiral is in 11th.

Both of them are appearing in the  current exam. In his complaint, Solanki told the police that both of them were missing from the school hostel since Saturday morning.

Investigation revealed that after appearing for her board exam, Aishwarya bought vada pav and went to her hostel room. Since outside food is not allowed, the warden asked her father to take their daughters to their home, as they had broken the hostel rules. Solanki told the warden that he will come on Saturday to take his daughters.

However, before their father come to take them, both the sisters went missing at 7:30am on Saturday.

Since Aishwarya was supposed to appear for her board exam and Hiral has to answer her computer exam at her school, family members thought that they would come back. But neither of them returned till late evening, after which Solanki informed the police.

Police also learned that both the daughters are of Solanki's former wife. On Sunday, Solanki received a call from a woman on his mobile, who told him that she met his daughters in a Mumbai bound train and both of them asked her to tell their father not to worry, as they are going to a safe place. Ellisbridge police traced the number and found that it was from an STD PCO of Surat. The PCO owner told the police that a girl was a regular customer. Police cordoned the girl on Monday. She was a friend of Aishwarya and both the sisters went to her place after fleeing the hostel. "The girls told us that they don't want to go back to their father's place. Our team will reach Ahmedabad with the girls at around 11pm on Monday" said BK Purohit, Sr police inspector of Ellisbridge.
