Minor girl raped on Goa beach

An eleven-year-old girl was allegedly raped at South Goa's Colva beach, police said today.

As per the complaint filed with the police, the minor was waiting for a bus along with her elder sister in Margao town last night when they met the accused there.

He lured both the minor sisters to the beach for a stroll.

The girl told the police that her elder sister went away with her friend for a while following which the accused assaulted her sexually on the beach.

The accused who is his twenties, is on the run after the incident, police said adding further investigations are on.
