The left parties today said their prediction that the "unholy alliance" between the JMM and the BJP would break up had come true within four months of the formation of the government.

"When Shibu Soren took oath on December 30 at the head of an unnamed-coalition, we had said then that it was an unholy-alliance as the mandate was fractured and it will not last," CPI(M) central committee member, JS Majumdar said.

CPI's National Council member, Khagendra Thakur said "no wonder, the JMM/BJP alliance broke up; it was an unnatural alliance and was destined for it," Thakur said and advocated a mid-term poll.

CPI-ML (Libreation) spokesperson, JP Minz said "the Soren government, which has been reduced to a minority, was an opportunistic alliance."

Taking a dig at Soren, Majumdar said "this time also Soren need not have to contest a bypoll to enter the assembly."

Soren is a Lok Sabha member.
