J&K govt to construct housing clusters for Kashmiri Pandits

Education minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed today directed relief and rehabilitation commissioner to identify land and formulate a comprehensive project for construction of clusters at the earliest.

Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to construct housing clusters in Kokernag area of south Kashmir for migrant Kashmiri Pandits desiring to return to the state.
           
Education minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed today directed relief and rehabilitation commissioner to identify land and formulate a comprehensive project for construction of clusters at the earliest, an official spokesman said.
           
Perzada, who was on a day's tour to his home constituency Kokernag, said these clusters would improve the socio-economic transformation in the area.
           
Addressing a public gathering at Narpora village, he said the commitments made during the last Assembly elections would be fulfilled in due course of time.
           
The government is determined to provide road connectivity, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water particularly in unattended areas of the state, he said.
           
The minister also directed officers to be more responsive to the problems of people.
