United Jihad Council (UJC), an umbrella group of militant groups based in PoK, led by Hizb chief Syed Salah-ud-din said Osama was the name of an ideology which will not die with his death.
On the day some foreign media reports suggested that Hizb-ul-Mujhadeen owned Osama bin Laden’s Abbottabad mansion, United Jihad Council (UJC), an umbrella group of militant groups based in PoK, led by Hizb chief Syed Salah-ud-din said Osama was the name of an ideology which will not die with his death.
“Nobody can believe the truth that Osama was not only an individual but a character and an ideology which cannot die by his death. Until those colonial and imperial powers will not shun anti-Islam and anti-Muslim approach, the innocent Muslims will take the shape of Osama”, said Salah-ud-din in a statement issued to local news agencies here.
The fugitive Hizb supreme commander advised the foreign powers to end occupation of Muslim territories and restore their rights at the earliest. “These imperial powers should withdraw from all occupied territories including Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Palestine and Kashmir. Muslim rulers should shun becoming lackeys of these powers and instead side with the innocent people”, he said.
Salah-ud-din’s remarks came at a time when Canadian newspaper reported Abbottabad mansion is owned by Hizb-ul-Mujhadeen, which has given a new spin to militants fighting in Kashmir.
Hizb chief statement also comes close of the heels of Huriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani declaring Osama bin Laden as “martyr who died fighting US oppression in Afghanistan”.
“Osama has been martyred while defending Muslims. He was symbol of resistance against US oppression. But his martyrdom won’t end resistance against the US in Afghanistan and elsewhere in Muslim world,” Geelani said.
Geelani alleged that US was carrying out state terrorism in Muslim world. “We have no animosity with the people of US. But I’ve no hesitation in saying that the policies of US are against Muslim ummah. Muslims are being massacred by NATO troops in the name of so called peace. We condemned 9/11 attacks as they were terrorist acts. But since then, US has massacred lakhs of Muslims in Afgha-nistan, Iraq, Pakistan and now Libya.” he averred.
