Haryana's first rural court inaugurated

On the occasion, Supreme Court justice DK Jain said there was a need for a separate cadre for these courts and that 5,000 rural courts would be set up in the country for early disposal of cases.

Haryana's first 'Grameen Nayalaya' (rural court) was today inaugurated in Shahbad in Kurukshetra district.
   
On the occasion, Supreme Court justice DK Jain said there was a need for a separate cadre for these courts and that 5,000 rural courts would be set up in the country for early disposal of cases.
   
Besides Shahabad, a rural court would also be set up at Rania division of Sirsa, he added.
   
Chief justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court Mukul Mudgal said these courts will settle cases within six months as per the Rural Court Act.
