Fire in thread factory in Indore; loss estimated at Rs2 cr

A thread manufacturing factory was today reduced to ashes in a fire here, police said.

The expected loss in the fire is estimated around Rs two crore, they said adding that there were no report of any casualty in the fire incident.

The fire broke out at Navjivan Spinning Mills at Industrial area situated on Sanver Road when the normal production was underway, police said.

The fire reduced the raw material and finished thread products to ashes and destroyed the machines, police said.

Police suspects that the fire broke out due to short circuit.
