Delegation members with Narendra Modi test negative for swine flu

Modi, who returned from abroad two days back, tested positive for swine flu today. His blood samples were taken for test yesterday after he showed symptoms of cough, cold and fever.

The members of the delegation led by Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, which recently returned from Russia, have tested negative for the H1N1 viral infection, health officials said.

"After Modi tested positive for swine flu, the members of his delegation were advised to take the test and all of them have tested negative," a senior official in the state health department said.

Modi, who returned from abroad two days back, tested positive for swine flu today. His blood samples were taken for test yesterday after he showed symptoms of cough, cold and fever.

A high-level delegation consisting chief secretary D Rajgopalan, principal secretary (Energy) S Jagdeesan, Managing Director of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) DJ Pandian and other officials from the Chief Minister Office (CMO) had accompanied Modi on the three-day visit to Russia.

Besides government officials, representatives of industry including Sudhir Mehta of Torent group, Pranav Adani of Adani group and senior officials from Essar and Swan group were part of the delegation.
