The ruling Congress in Rajasthan on Friday welcomed the General Budget 2012-13 while Opposition BJP termed it as "anti-people" and "inflationary".

PCC chief Chandrabhan said it was a balanced, pro-people and pro-farmers Budget and shows the vision of the government.

"It is a balanced and growth-oriented budget. It would provide relief to farmers, strengthen infrastructure in rural areas and accelerate inclusive growth in agriculture sector and others," he said.

All the sectors were focused in the Budget which reflects the government's balanced approach and vision, he said.

Meanwhile, BJP state president Arun Chaturvedi said the budget is "clearly disappointing as it would increase financial burden on people".

"It does not provide any relief to the common man and it shows that Congress's hand is with inflation not with 'Aam Aadmi'."

Leader of Opposition, Vasundhara Raje said, "It is an inflationary budget. Common people had lots of expectations from the Union Budget but none of them was fulfilled."

Prem Biyani, former General Secretary of FORTI (Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry) said there was nothing worth welcoming in the Budget except the announcement to operationalise GST network by August.

The CPI(M), All Rajasthan Cooperative Bank Employees Union, Rajasthan Pradesh Bank Employees Union, All Rajasthan Agriculture Trade and Industries Association and the Rajasthan Khadya Padarth Vyapar Sangh also termed the Budget as inflationary and disappointing.
