Chief medical officer suspended for not attending review meet in J&K

Chief medical officer of Reasi district has been suspended for not attending a review meeting called by the state health minister.
 
In an order issued by Director Health Services (Jammu) Jasbir Singh, Reasi CMO Susheel Kumar Sharma has been placed under suspension for alleged dereliction of duty, a Health department official said.
    
Health minister Sham Lal Sharma had yesterday called a review meeting of the department, but the CMO failed to attend it.
    
The minister then asked the director to suspend the officer and seek an explanation, the official said.
