BJP today took a dig at Union Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal's comments that Rahul Gandhi will remote control the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, saying the same was being already done with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at the Centre.

"Congress has now become a master in running governments through remote control. The remote of the central government is also in the hands of the super Prime Minister. A television box is merely placed in the Prime Minister's room, which is run by somebody else through remote," said BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

He said he was not surprised at Jaiswal's statement on Rahul running the next Uttar Pradesh government through remote as Congress was already running Uttar Pradesh government for the last eight years - be it Samajwadi Party government or Bahujan Samaj Party.

He charged Congress with allowing crime and loot in Uttar Pradesh by successive governments of SP and BSP and listed out scams like NRHM, Taj Corridor and disproportionate assets and said "this remote had given a 100 per cent free hand to the loot in the state".

He said "people of Uttar Pradesh know and understand what the central minister is saying. The people of Uttar Pradesh now do not need a remote-controlled government. They want such a government which brings an end to the era of corruption, scams, crime, terrorism, separatism and loot in the state.

"The time has now come that the mega reality show of loot and crime, being run through remote by Congress party here, comes to an end now."
