BJP workers protest over 'inflated' water bills

Scores of BJP workers today staged a demonstration in Shahdara area of the city protesting issuance of "inflated" water bills to the residents and demanding a better sewer system in the area.
    
The BJP workers took out a march and later staged the demonstration outside the Delhi Jal Board office at Preet Vihar. They also burnt an effigy of Delhi Government.
    
Addressing the gathering, city BJP chief Vijender Gupta severely criticised the city government accusing it of failing to provide the basic minimum facilities to the citizens.
    
He accused the Delhi Jal Board of issuing "highly inflated" water bills to the citizens and asked for revision of all the recent bills issued by the agency.
