BJP to organise rallies in district headquarters of Bihar

The political party would organise rallies to protest against price rise, corruption, black money and also to press for the demand for according special state status to Bihar, said state BJP president C P Thakur.

BJP would organise rallies in all the district headquarters of Bihar to protest against price rise, corruption, black money and also to press for the demand for according special state status to Bihar, state BJP president C P Thakur said on Sunday.

A decision to this effect was taken by Bihar BJP core committee meeting chaired by Thakur here this afternoon.

Thakur said in a press statement that the meeting decided that the party workers would demonstrate before the block to divisional headquarters on April 6, coinciding with the foundation day of the party.

"We will also launch mass awakening programme between April 6 and May 19 in every panchayat in Bihar on these burning issues", he said.

Rallies would be organised in various district centres in the state between May 20 and June 15 against corruption and black money as also to press for grant of special state status to Bihar.

Prominent among those who also attended the meeting were BJP national vice-president Kiran Ghai, Organising Secretary H N Singh, General Secretary Nagendra Ji, besides state minister N K Yadav, former state presidents Radha Mohan Singh and Gopal
Narayan Singh.
