BJP leader O Rajagopal today welcomed the participation of more women in political activities.

It was his party which raised the issue of 33% reservation for women in state assemblies  and Parliament, he said.

The former union minister said BJP has no alliance with any political party in the coming civic election, in Kerala. He alleged in some pockets of the State the UDF and LDF were working together.

To a query, he said since christian priests were citizens they could raise their opinions individually.

He said the Ayodhya title suits verdict by and large was welcomed by all parties. The political leaders in Kerala now criticised the verdict, saying that it gives importance to the belief of a section of the population.

Rajagopal said the Kottayam-Erumeli rail line was cleared by the then Prime Minister AB Vajpayee which was later abandoned.
