The media is abuzz with tidbits about the latest addition to the Bachchan family. Here's another - A gold ring for the newborn baby of power couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan is going to be made in Rajkot, according to sources.

Confirming the news Rajkot-based jeweller Pankaj Kansara says, "We have received an order from a firm in the jewellery business, RKR Creations. We have been asked to deliver the ring within a week."

Pankaj Kansara and his brother Kishore Kansara run Kruti Jewellers in Rajkot. They are fourth generation goldsmiths and make only hand crafted jewellery and gift items. "We do not use any machines. Everything in the jewellery or the gift is crafted by hand," says Kishore Kansara.

As the jewellers received the order only on Friday, they were not in a position to reveal details about the ring. "RKR is going to send a stone, most probably the birth stone of the baby girl, to be studded in the ring. Once we receive the stone we will start designing the ring," says Pradip Kansara.

The ring will not be more than three to four grams in weight as it is meant for a baby.

"We are working on the concept right now. The ring will be a tribute to the Bachchan family," he adds.

Kruti Jewellers made a love letter on a page made from four kg of gold for a Mumbai-based builder in 2008 and a gold crown for the Gayatri Temple in London in 2007.

"For RKR Creations we had made a special bow tie in the shape of a badminton racket and a gold shoe spoon," adds Kishore Kansara.
