5 farmers commit suicide in 3 days in Yavatmal

Five debt ridden farmers, including a woman, have committed suicide in the last three days in the district, sources said today.

They were identified as Bhimrao Rathod (village Pimpri), Digambar Wankhede (Vidhud), Waman Chabile (Takali), Sharad Bhoyar (Rui-Wai) and Gajanan Dawas (Warud) of Yavatmal district and Sunanda Pandurang Barallawar (village Mukutban), a farm worker, who committed suicide as she had no work, they said.

Sources also said, two farm labourers died of poisonous gas while spraying it. They were identified as Meghnand Narayan Jadhav of village Zira and Janardhan Warlu of village Shirpur, sources said.
