Four firearms were found from a man at Mohanpur in Nadia district today.
Police said the arrested man Chitta Ranjan Poddar came to sell the weapons when they arrested him on a tip-off.
Poddar is a resident of Charapole near Kampa Military camp under Bizpur Police Station in neighbouring North 24 Parganas district.
The arrested person claimed to be an ex-military man.
