As the nation observed the second anniversary of the 26/11 carnage, rich tributes were paid to Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the martyr, who laid his life for the nation, at his ancestrol house in Kozhikode, today.
Students from the nearby Cheruvannur Saraswathy Vidyaniketan, carrying placards against terrorism went in a procession to the ancestral home of Unnikrishnan at Chellath in Kozhikode district.
The students paid floral tributes at the photo of Unnikrishnan in the house, in which Sandeep's uncle Ashokkumar and family is residing presently.
Evening, a rememebrance meeting has been arranged by an organisation at Cheruvannur.
Sandeep, serving in the Indian Army in the elite Special Action Group of the National Security Guard, was killed in action while fighting against terrorists in the November 26, 2008 Mumbai carnage.
