Two youths were arrested for allegedly firing in the air outside a prominent hotel at Parliament Street in Delhi following a tiff with the staff over some petty issue, police said today.

The incident took place outside Hotel Park located opposite Jantar Mantar yesterday at around 2am, additional commissioner of police (New Delhi) KC Dwivedi said.

The hotel is located a little more than a kilometre from Parliament House and police station.

Pradeep Dahiya, who has six cases including that of murder against him, and Rahul were arrested for allegedly opening fire, Dwivedi said. Dahiya is a resident of Rohini.

According to a senior police officer, Dahiya and Rahul had a tiff over some petty issue with the hotel staff inside Agni restaurant of the hotel, after which the duo came out.

A call was made to police which rushed to the spot and arrested the duo, the officer said.
