A 12-year-old son of a police constable was allegedly beaten to death by three men over personal enmity with the constable's family, police said today.
Vikash, son of head constable Kamlesh Dohra, had last night gone to attend a birthday party with his friends in Vijay Nagar area but when he did not return his family filed a complaint with the police, superintendent of police Avdesh Kumar Vijeta said.
After a massive search, the police found the boy's body in a nearby area, he said.
After a preliminary investigation, the police nabbed three persons - Sandeep, Shambhoo and Sudhir - who had reportedly confessed that they killed the boy over an enmity with the constable's family and later threw the body.
The body has been sent for the post-mortem, and further investigations are on, police said.
