The All India Bakchod (AIB) team had created quite a buzz pitching for net neutrality earlier this year. Spurred by the awareness, one million people ended up sending emails to the TRAI.

As the discussion on net neutrality has now shifted to mygov.in, the AIB team tells you exactly what you can do, despite the tight deadline of August 15 to leave your suggestions on the site.

Lashing out at telecom operators as well as internet.org by social media platform 'Facebook', they explain how there has been an attempt to change the definition of net neutrality. They also throw light on the meaning of 'zero-rating'. "It is creating a garden of select apps and services that people can access for free, but as soon as people leave this garden and go to the rest of the internet, they get charged", they say, adding that "Facebook is just trying to make sure that there will not be another Facebook again."

The video also talks about what will happen if the Department of Telecom starts licencing for VOIP apps. It would force Whatsapp, Viber, Skype etc to buy licences for the call services that they offer to their customers. "So, if Whatsapp has to pay for the licence, then clearly, we are the ones who will have to pay Whatsapp for it."

While the government has invited your inputs on the subject, it would require users to register on MyGov.in and leave their comments. And you have a time only till August 15 to do this! So quick, click on this link to lend your voice and show your support for net neutrality.
