On the day the Mumbai Police officers raided Sanjeev Khanna’s residence and seized his laptop, they reached the residence of Siddhartha Das, media tycoon Indrani Mukherjea’s first live-in partner and recorded his statement. A two-member team comprising Mumbai Police officials reached his residence at Dum Dum around 7.30pm and interrogated him for over two hours and recorded his written statement.
According to sources in the Mumbai Police, they questioned him over Indrani and his relationship. They even asked him about Sheena Bora's actual date of birth. After the team of Mumbai Police officers left his residence, Das appeared before the reporters and said that police recorded his written statement. "I gave them in writing my statement and at the end of it, I signed it.
I cannot divulge as to what were the questions that the investigators put across me," Das said, adding that the Mumbai Police officers have not yet asked him to accompany them to Mumbai for further investigation.
