Several students are alleging that the CBSE Class 12th maths exam was leaked, a charge refuted by teachers and officials. A student from Chakradharpur in Jharkhand said the question paper looked similar to one leaked on Monday. He was quoted saying by HT: “After exam, some students showed an identical question paper in their phones.”

However teachers claimed that several sample questions had been released by the CBSE before the exams, and the students were misinterpreting it as a leak.

Meanwhile, another student from Delhi Public School, Ranchi claimed that 90% of the questions were similar and in the same sequence.  However, Ranchi CBSE coordinator Manhohar Lal claimed that he had spoken to the CBSE regional office in Patna and that the paper wasn’t leaked.

For the second year running, Class 12 students claimed that the Maths paper was tough, and several school principals also reported that it was tougher than usual. A student was quoted saying by a leading daily, “The paper was so tough that even if one had used reference guides, there was no guarantee that one would be able to solve all these problems.

The one-mark questions were lengthy and required us to go through complex steps, which was time-consuming. As a result, the allotted time was not enough” It was said that even those preparing for IIT were stumped.
