Amit Shah has launched a stinging attack at both Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav. He says that if they are elected, then jungle rule will be back in Bihar. Shah in his speech says that for a truly developed Bihar, electorates should give mandate to BJP.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the high profile parivartan rally.
The Gaya DM said that over 2,000 police constables and 1,000 magistrates and police officers have been deployed especially on rally duty. The security arrangements are apart from the inner circle security provided by Special Protection Group to the Prime Minister. Traffic plan of the city has been strengthened.
Background
The BJP, which along with its allies had won 31 of the 40 seats in Bihar in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, is set for a battle against a united Janata Parivar comprising of the JD (U) and RJD.
A day ago, Prime Minister Modi's posters were found torn in Gaya in an apparent act of vandalism ahead of his rally.
Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy has criticised the vandalising of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's posters in Bihar and said such incidents will not demoralise his party workers.
The JD(U) workers were quick to rebut the allegations and claimed that BJP workers had pulled down their posters and replaced them with posters of the Prime Minister.
This is his second visit to Bihar after becoming PM. He had visited Patna to launch several central government schemes and facilities on July 25 and had addressed a political rally at Muzaffarpur in North Bihar.
Meanwhile, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has vowed to organize nine rallies in support of all the three parties constituting the Janata Parivar in Bihar, to give a fitting reply to Prime Minister Modi.
The assembly polls in Bihar would be held most likely in September or October this year.
