After spearheading a successful campaign for women's right to worship in temples, Bhumata Brigade founder Trupti Desai is expected to reach the Haji Ali Dargah with her 'Haji Ali Dargah Sab Ke Liye Forum' soon.

The trust members along with the police are ready to control any situation that may arise due to the protest. On the other hand, there are also protesters ready to stop Trupti Desai from entering the 'mazhar', if not peacefully, then with force. "I have no problem even if I am arrested for stopping Trupti Desai from breaking rules and hurting sentiments of another religion. We will be there when she comes at the mosque, ready with paint to blacken her face if she forcefully tries to enter and break the rules of this 1400-year-old religion," said Haji Rafat Husain, MIM chief.

Along with him is the Samajwadi Party's Ruksana Siddiqui, ready with a gang of women to stop Trupti from entering the mazhar. "We will stop her with physical force if needed," she said. The women stressed on the point that Desai needs to understand the religion, study their books and understand the reasons. "Women are not forced to stay out. We do it out of our understanding of our religion. We will not let her go inside," she added.

Although Desai told Iamin over the phone that her protest would be peaceful and that she would not enter the mazhar, many protestors are ready to retaliate against her even before she reaches Mumbai. "I will not go inside the mazhar. We are only protesting peacefully," she said.

Police and the trust handling the crowd outside refused to comment on the issue.
