The AAP government on Friday accused the BJP- ruled civic bodies of Delhi for spoiling its image ahead of the four-day India-Africa Summit starting on Novembet 26.

In a press meet on Friday, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia claimed that his government had released enough funds to the three civic bodies of Delhi to pay its workers, as compared to the corresponding period last year, when Delhi was under LG's rule.

The explanation came in the wake of MCD's sanitation workers threatening to go on strike demanding hike in their salaries.

"An attempt is being made to create an chaotic atmosphere in Delhi before India-Africa Summit and Diwali," Sisodia said.

He added that against the 58 percent disbursal of funds released by Delhi government to the North Municipal Corporation of Delhi in Oct 2014, the AAP dispensation had released 75 percent of total funds.

For South Delhi Municipal Corporation, the AAP government released 69 percent of the money by Oct whereas in it was 57 percent in 2014.

Sisodia claimed these bodies were not demanding Rs1,400 crore due on the Delhi Development Authority which reports to the centre.
