BJP gears up to tackle AAP in Rajasthan

The state BJP’s top officials will be meeting on Monday to chalk out a strategy against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) that has started emerging as an opponent equal to Congress’ in the state.

Notably, the AAP has intensified its activities in the state soon after it has formed government in Delhi and thus the BJP has decided to take it seriously. As per the details, the party workers will be taught ways to counter not only Congress but AAP as well at the meeting on Monday.

Notably, at a recent meeting of RSS and the BJP in Hyderabad, the RSS chief told party men to take AAP seriously. Thus, it is believed that the party will also be discussing AAP during the meeting. According to party sources, the BJP will not be taking AAP lightly as the latter has launched a massive membership drive in the state and it could have some dampening effect for the party in the coming LS polls.

Already, the BJP has triggered preparations for the parliamentary elections and it will be announcing its candidates by February. At the meeting, the party will be briefing all the office bearers about poll preparations. Different sessions of the meeting scheduled at 10 am at Heavens Garden on Agra Road will be addressed by chief minister Vasundhara Raje, BJP Seh-Sangathan Rashtriya Mahamantri Syodan Singh, state in charge Kaptan Singh Solanki and national secretary Bhupendra Yadav.

The meeting will be attended by Rajasthan based office bearers and members of the national executive of the party, state BJP office bearers, MPs, MLAs, district presidents and district general secretaries, state chiefs and in charges of different Morchas, state conveners of Prakosth and the conveners of the election management committee. In addition to this, the candidates who have lost the Assembly elections have also been told to attend the meeting.
