Who is the villain in Rajinikanth's 'Kabali'?

Recently, there was widespread speculation that top Chinese actor and producer Jet Li has been roped in for Rajinikanth's film with Pa Ranjith. However, it turns out that the news is not true. While there are various other names from the Chinese film world that have popped up, as of now, no one is letting out more information.

But what is known and confirmed is that the villain in Kabali will be played by a Chinese actor. 

The last time we saw a villain from East Asia in a Tamil film was in AR Murugadoss' 7Aum Arivu. Vietnamese American actor Johnny Trí Nguyễn played the baddie in this Suriya film. And he was pretty good too. 

For Rajinikanth's Enthiran 2 directed by Shankar, the villain was supposed to be Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger. However, things didn't work out and Bollywood's Akshay Kumar was roped in.

Now, it looks like Rajini is all set to get a foreign villain in Kabali'. Considering the movie is mostly set in Malaysia, it makes perfect sense to have a Chinese actor play the baddie.
